Terms of Service
This Ticket Services Agreement (“TSA” or “Agreement”) constitutes a legally binding contract between StarrTix (SL) Ltd (“StarrTix,” “we,” “us”) and the event creator, promoter, venue, or organization (“Client,” “Organizer,” or “you”) governing the creation, marketing, sale, payment processing, access control, and reconciliation of event tickets.

StarrTix provides instantaneous ticket sales crediting with same-day mobile money and bank withdrawals, 99.9% portal uptime, local database caching on scanner devices for uninterrupted offline gate verification, and defined P1-P3 live event incident response times.
1. Definitions & Key Terminology
In this Agreement, capitalized terms have the following meanings:
- “Platform” means the StarrTix web portal, mobile applications, APIs, ticket generation engines, and checkout systems.
- “Ticket Verification Devices” means mobile smartphones, dedicated optical scanners, or tablets running the StarrTix Access Control application.
- “Offline Mode” refers to the local encrypted SQLite caching on verification devices allowing ticket validation without continuous internet connectivity.
- “P1 Incident (Critical)” means total stoppage of ticket checkout sales or catastrophic live gate scanning failure during an active event.
- “MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)” means the target duration to deliver a hotfix, workaround, or operational recovery from incident declaration.
2. StarrTix Services & Offline Scanning Continuity
StarrTix provides comprehensive ticketing infrastructure, including dynamic seat selection, e-ticket delivery via QR/barcode, SMS notifications, and gate access verification tools.
Local Caching & Offline Synchronization Guarantee: To safeguard against venue telecommunications outages, all StarrTix mobile verification applications support local encrypted database caching. Verification devices pre-download attendee rosters and authenticate tickets locally in real time. Upon network restoration, all scan logs, timestamps, and operator records are asynchronously synchronized with the central cloud database with automated duplicate-scan detection.
3. Organizer Responsibilities
As an Event Organizer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate event information, pricing tiers, venue guidelines, and age/entry restrictions.
- Ensure authorized event staff are equipped with compatible mobile devices and have downloaded the latest ticket verification roster prior to gate opening.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable local municipal permits, tax obligations, and event safety protocols.
- Honor all genuine, successfully validated StarrTix digital and physical tickets presented by attendees at the venue.
4. Service Level Agreement (SLA), Uptime & Live Support
StarrTix commits to industry-grade availability and dedicated operational support under the following schedule:

Platform Availability & High-Demand Sales Windows: StarrTix maintains a guaranteed minimum of 99.9% monthly availability across its customer ticketing portal and integrated payment gateways. For high-volume on-sale launches notified at least 5 days in advance, StarrTix provisions dedicated autoscaling server capacity to ensure uninterrupted high-concurrency transactions.
5. Refunds & Event Cancellations
In the event of event postponement, significant modification, or cancellation, the Organizer bears full responsibility for approving or instructing ticket refunds to purchasers in accordance with the stated event policy.
StarrTix processes approved refunds directly to original payment methods (Mobile Money or Debit Card). Platform processing fees for completed sales may be retained to cover non-refundable telecommunications and banking interchange expenses.
6. Settlements, Payouts & Commission
Net ticket proceeds (gross ticket sales minus the standard StarrTix platform commission of 6% and payment processing levies) are credited instantaneously to the Organizer’s wallet balance.
Same-day disbursements are available to verified bank accounts and Mobile Money wallets (Orange Money, Airtel Money). In the event of chargebacks or fraudulent purchase disputes, StarrTix reserves the right to debit the Organizer balance accordingly.
7. Post-Event Audit Log Delivery & Data Purging
Audit Log Delivery Protocols: Within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours following event conclusion, Organizers may generate or receive exhaustive reconciliation and check-in audit logs in structured CSV and JSON formats containing verified scan timestamps, device IDs, validation operator keys, and entry totals.
Data Retention & PII Purging: Attendee personal identification data (PII) and transient scan telemetry are retained securely for ninety (90) days post-event for dispute and chargeback resolution. After 90 days, all attendee PII is anonymized or purged, retaining only permanent financial reconciliation and accounting ledgers.
8. Confidentiality & Security
Both parties agree to protect and treat as strictly confidential all commercial terms, ticket volume data, attendee personally identifiable information (PII), and proprietary API keys.
9. Liability, Telecommunications & Force Majeure
Except in instances of gross negligence or willful misconduct, StarrTix’s total aggregate liability arising out of this Agreement shall be limited to the total platform commissions earned by StarrTix for the specific event in dispute.
Telecommunications Disclaimer & Mitigation: Neither party shall be held liable for failure or delay in performance caused by nationwide telecom backbone failures, cellular ISP blackouts, or municipal power disruptions outside reasonable control; provided, however, that StarrTix maintains offline local verification caching to minimize access disruption at physical venue gates.
10. Termination & Suspension
StarrTix reserves the right to suspend ticketing access or freeze wallet payouts immediately if an Organizer engages in fraudulent ticket listings, unlawful conduct, or severe violations of safety standards.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Sierra Leone. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall first be resolved through good-faith mutual negotiations, failing which the courts of Freetown, Sierra Leone shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
